Nibbling is a shearing process that utilizes a series of overlapping cuts to
make complex shapes from sheet metal.
Process Characteristics
 | Sheet metal thickness usually does not exceed 0.25
in. |
 | Utilizes a press with an oblong or rectangular
punch and die or shear blade |
 | Machines usually stroke 300 to 900 times per minute |
 | Produces complex shapes form sheet metal material |
