Thread Milling

Thread milling is a cutting process that uses a multipoint milling cutter to
produce uniform helical threads on the internal or external surface of a
cylinder or cone. The cutter, or hob, is fed radially into the workpiece
while the workpiece rotates slightly over one revolution to complete the
threads.
