Solvent degreasing is a cleaning process
that uses the direct application of solvents for the removal of oil,
grease, shop dirt, loose chips, and other contaminants. the
solvent is sprayed, brushed, or wiped on the surface of the workpiece,
or the workpiece is immersed in the solvent.
